Police are searching for an unidentified man who robbed the Comfort Inn at 2100 West Hundred Road on March 10. According to police, a masked man entered the hotel at about 1:15 a.m., jumped the counter, displayed a gun and attempted to force the clerk to open the safe. Once again the county is facing another effort by owners of the Shoosmith Landfill facility to change its operating agreement. I feel the request to bring in more waste, particularly out-of-state material, is not sensible for several reasons. Those of reasons. The Thomas Dale High School girls varsity basketball team finished a historic season earlier this month, completing the program’s first unbeaten regular season with 20 wins and no losses.
