Attempted drug purchase turns into sexual assault

A young woman received much more than the high she was seeking on Apr. 1 when she attempted to purchase drugs at an apartment in the 7500 block of Marbrett Drive. According to the police, the unidentified victim, who is in her late 20s, visited the apartment complex off Boulder Parkway around 9:26 p.m. to buy illegal drugs.

While there, the suspects allegedly sexually assaulted her and robbed her of her money, jewelry and clothing. Police continue to investigate the incident and had not made an arrest at press time.

In other police reports: Burnt Oak Drive. The victims returned home to the 4900 block on Mar. 27 to discover someone had broken into their apartment and taken money, a laptop and shoes during the day. Cricklewood Drive. The victims pulled up in front of an apartment in the 11600 block at 11:15 p.m. on Mar. 31, and the suspects parked their vehicle right behind them. The suspects approached the vehicle on either side and demanded money. When they did not receive any money, one suspect struck one of the victims in the head and took a cell phone before leaving. Edgewood Drive. Hearing a noise, the victim awoke at 3:40 a.m. and walked into the kitchen to find the suspects there. They quickly fled. They had broken a rear window to enter the house. Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim was walking in the 11700 block at 6:15 p.m. on Apr. 3 when several juveniles ran up behind him and knocked him to the ground. They took his shoes and fled. Lucks Lane. Suspect(s) entered the First Korean Church of Richmond in the 11700 block on Mar. 31 and vandalized the interior. Books were thrown on the floor, and a number of small decorative items were broken. Sambar Road. A 2001 black Nissan pickup was stolen from the residence's driveway in the 7600 block during the day on Mar. 28. West Village Green Drive. Chesterfield police investigated a call claiming there were two pipe bombs in the 5000 block on Apr. 3, but no explosives were found. Willis Road. The suspect entered the Shell service station at 1:10 a.m. on Mar. 29 and quickly put the clerk in a choke hold, placing an unknown object in his back. He pulled the victim behind the counter and took the money from the register and his cell phone before leaving on foot. Woodmill Place. A handgun and other items were stolen from the victim's unlocked vehicle parked in the 11500 block on Mar. 11.
