ABOUT CHESTERFIELD OBSERVER

A 2011independent audit of the Chesterfield Observer reported that the circulation at 69,244, which includes mailing to 61,287 upscale homeowners in Chesterfield County. The remaining circulation is available for free pickup at numerous retail locations and public libraries in the county.

The Observer has the largest circulation of any weekly newspaper in Virginia. In the Richmond metro area, the Observer has more than twice the circulation of any other weekly newspaper. Compared to the daily newspaper, the Observer has 2 ½ times its weekday circulation in the county. Because the Observer reaches 60 percent of the homes in Chesterfield, it has the county government commitment to run its legal notices.
