Arts and Sciences Festival this weekend

The festival's poster art was done by Shannon Alford of L. C. Bird High School. The county schools' annual arts festival will be held this weekend along with the middle school science fair.

The two-day event will take place at Bird High School, 10301 Courthouse Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Snacks and drinks will be for sale.

The arts festival typically features paintings, sculptures, videos, prints, photographs, drawings and crafts created by students in every Chesterfield school, including some of the more outstanding work from high school students. The middle school science fair will be at held at the same time.
