Not Zorro, not funny Exiting her vehicle on Martingale Road on May 16, the victim ran to the breezeway because of the heavy rain. When she stepped into the breezeway, the suspect, wearing a "Zorro-style" mask, placed a small black semi-automatic handgun to her head, demanding the victim's purse. Taking the purse, the suspect told the victim to run. As the victim ran down the steps, she heard vehicles speeding off. She then turned to observe the suspect vehicle speeding away toward Jefferson Davis Hwy. A trailer full of construction equipment was stolen from a job site on Old Bermuda Hundred Road on May 9. Hopewell Police found the trailer empty, abandoned in their jurisdiction. Suspects pried open the garage door of a home in the 300 block of West Hundred Road and then kicked in the door leading into the interior of the residence. On May 15 two handguns were reported removed from the master bedroom. A woman awoke at her home on Rayanne Drive on May 16 to find her 1999 Infiniti missing from the driveway. Victim is unsure if the car had been locked. A woman reported that on May 17 she was standing on her porch preparing to enter her home in the 2700 block of Cogbill Road when an unknown suspect that was standing next to her porch caught her attention. At that time, a second suspect grabbed her from behind and placed a gun to her head while dragging her off of the porch. Both suspects searched her pockets for valuables. A cell phone and a set of keys were taken before both suspects fled on foot. On May 14 entry to Knabe Outdoor Power Equipment on Midlothian Turnpike was gained via the side window. Cash was removed from the register. |
