Counterfeit clothing arrests

Chesterfield County Police working with federal authorities arrested three people for selling counterfeit apparel at two Midlothian Turnpike sportswear stores. Maria A. Thomas, 48, of the 7000 block of Carriage Pines Drive; Luis M. Thomas, 49, of the same address; and Maria L. Thomas, 22, of an unknown address were all charged with money laundering, counterfeiting, and obtaining money under false pretenses.

Suspects entered a home under construction by Liberty Homes in the 7000 block of Lake Caroline Drive, vandalizing the interior and setting the kitchen on fire. Later, on May 26, unknown suspect(s) entered a home under construction in the 6800 block of Lake Caroline Drive and vandalized the interior.

The victim allowed the suspect to ride his 2005 red dirt bike, but it wasn't returned. Chesterfield police later learned that the suspect had sold it.

Chesterfield police have arrested Michael C. Mitchell, 23, of the 25100 block of Ritchie Avenue in Petersburg for allegedly taking a test drive in a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse and not returning it to Pearson Mitsubishi.

The victim told police he was beaten outside of a restaurant in the 9600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. The suspects also stole his wallet.

Someone used a piece of equipment to move a truck that was parked in front of a locked storage container in the 11800 block of Deerhill Road, blocking access to the container. Thieves stole a power washer that was inside the container.

The female victim exited the school bus and walked home to the 4000 block of Stella Court. As she was closing the door to the residence, the suspects attempted to force their way inside, but she was successful in closing and locking the door.

On May 25, the victim told police that his iPod was missing from his vehicle in the 13600 block of Cradle Hill Road. The Brandermill resident did not remember if he had locked the vehicle.

The victim's 1993 Chrysler LeBaron was stolen from the apartment complex but was located the next day on Bryanwood Road with the ignition and steering wheel damaged.

The victim's cousin left the 1993 Honda unlocked and running shortly after midnight in the 3800 block of Beulah Road on May 31. While he was inside his apartment, the vehicle was stolen.
