Crime coverage questioned

Dear Editor,

Thank you for telling us what's going on in Chesterfield. I probably miss some of your weekly issues because you don't mail to my neighborhood, and I have to pick up a copy at my neighborhood Ukrop's.

I live near Handel Court, which seems to make your Crime Watch section on a regular basis. Does our neighborhood have more crime than others or do you just report our crime more frequently?

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Unfortunately, the Chesterfield Observer is only able to report about five percent of the crime reported by the police weekly. When selecting which crimes to report, we typically include more serious crimes, those with an unusual detail or crimes that impact numerous people, such as when several vehicle break-ins occur in one neighborhood.
