Oxycontin suspect charged in two drug store robberies

Chesterfield County Police have charged 21-year-old Michael A. Fortner, of the 2800 block of Executive Drive, with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Fortner is accused of robbing the Rite-Aid store at 12633 Jefferson Davis Highway on July 28 and again on Aug. 27.

During the robberies, he allegedly stole a significant amount of the painkiller Oxycontin.
