Chesterfield Historical Society celebrates 25 years Thurs., Oct. 5 The Friends of the Chesterfield County Public Library will hold a fall book sale at the Central Library, beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing through 3 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 7, during library hours. Books, CDs, DVDs and videotapes will be for sale. For more information, call Sheila Callear, 281-2978. Sat., Oct. 7 Eppington Heritage Day, 2-5 p.m., Eppington Plantation, 14201 Epps Fall Rd. Costumed interpreters will demonstrate 18th century plantation life. House and grounds tours of the 1770s plantation, which is rarely open to the public, will be held. In The Spotlight The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a luncheon, in conjunction with its quarterly meeting, on Sun., Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Country Club, 3700 Cogbill Rd. The Chesterfield Technical Center chapter of SkillsUSA will hold its 9th Annual Car Show, Sat., Oct. 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co., 6801 Lake Harbour Dr. Car clubs and individuals from across Virginia will display all types of cars, including classic cars, street rods, muscle cars, 4x4s and minitrucks.
