Bureaucrats are overfeeding at the public trough

Your Sept. 27 article exposes how easily it apparently is for these bureaucrats to bestow taxpayers' monies on themselves and their huge empires while reducing the quality of life for their constituents.

I would hope the majority of Chesterfield residents would agree with me when I say that [County Administrator Lane] Ramsey should take less from taxpayers than [Henrico County Manager Virgil] Hazelett. Mr. Ramsey has demonstrated that he's incapable of controlling growth and, therefore, the tax burden on residents. On the other hand, kudos to Mr. Hazelett, he earns his money.
