Hispanic small business resource fair

The Business Committee of Colaborando Juntos is sponsoring a half-day small business resource fair on Oct. 26 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Saint Augustine's Church, 4400 Beulah Rd.

The resource fair will include an exhibit hall with government, private sector and nonprofit resource providers on hand to offer information on financing, marketing, business planning and workplace safety.

Workshops will be offered on topics such as government financing programs, government procurement opportunities, how to start a business and business planning. Interpreters will be available to assist in answering attendees' questions.

The event is free of charge.

Sponsors of the event include SunTrust Bank, the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, Chesterfield County Economic Development, the City of Richmond's Office of Minority Business Development, the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses.
