Charges dropped against owner of cat-killing dogs A Chesterfield County General District Court judge dropped two dangerous dog charges against Anne Armantrout on Oct. 4, because she no longer has possession of the dogs. Armantrout's two dogs allegedly killed a neighbor's cat earlier this year after they escaped from her yard. Armantrout had one dog euthanized in September. The second dog is now with her ex-husband in Texas. If Armantrout had kept the dogs, the judge could have deemed them "dangerous" and ordered her to comply with new state regulations that would have required her to register her dogs, post signs around her home and increase the coverage on her homeowner's insurance. Armantrout was fined $250 on two counts of allowing her dogs to run loose in her neighborhood.
