During the evening of Oct. 10 and early morning hours of Oct. 11, numerous unlocked vehicles and a garage were entered by unknown suspects. Money, food and firearms were taken. Some items were later retrieved after they were left throughout the neighborhood. Handel Court. The victim and his girlfriend were leaving an apartment in the 5600 block at 10:37 p.m. on Oct. 11 when the suspect approached them in the parking lot. When the suspect cocked his handgun, the girlfriend ran back to the apartment. The victim told the suspect he didn't have his wallet with him, and the suspect said "Ok," and ran off, joining two friends in the distance. Heatherhill Drive. Shortly before midnight on Oct.11, three suspects appeared at the victim's residence in the 5500 block, ostensibly to look at a 2002 Jaguar that one suspect had inquired about purchasing previously. One suspect displayed a gun and pushed the victim inside the residence where he was bound and watched while the other two suspects searched the residence. When left alone momentarily, the victim fled and had neighbor call the police. Seeing that they had been observed by the neighbor, the suspects fled in their vehicle with stolen clothing, even though the victim's vehicle was idling in the driveway. Hull Street Road. At 3:47 p.m. on Oct. 12, the suspect, wearing a wig and armed with a handgun, entered the Wachovia bank in the13200 block. He demanded money from the teller and fled on foot after putting the cash into a bag he had brought. Lakebluff Parkway. Numerous vehicles and campers parked in the 51000 block were vandalized when mirrors and windows were broken or shot out. Midlothian High School. On Oct. 16 between 2-3 a.m., someone broke into the boy's locker room and then into an office before gaining access to the assistant principal's office. The suspect stole the school's digital camera and wrote "Bloods" in numerous places. Polo Parkway. After placing a fod order at 9 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the 11300 block, the suspect went behind the counter. Pulling out a handgun, he ordered the two employees to the office and demanded that they lie down. The restaurant assistant manager, already in the office, handed over the money. The suspect put it in a cash deposit bag and walked out of the restaurant. Sasha Court. The suspect(s) entered a residence in the 20900 block on Oct. 11 through a bedroom window where an air conditioner had been removed. Clothing, jewelry and other items were taken. Turner Road. The victim let the suspect drive her 1992 Ford Explorer since she was attempting to sell him the vehicle. When he didn't return, she used the Lo-Jack tracking system to locate the vehicle and recover it. Police continue to investigate. Willis Road. The two suspects entered the Shell station in
the 2300 block shortly before midnight on Oct. 10 with shirts pulled over their
heads. The armed suspect demanded money from the cash register, and as soon as
he received it, the suspects ran off. | |||||
