Another vote for Nienow's Loose Ends Dear Editor, Although I agree with the person's opinion in "Reader Dislikes Loose Ends [Oct. 4]," it would appear she is trying to impress [someone] with her over-exaggerated paragraphs and sixth grade vocabulary. The world we live in today is difficult enough without people being self-absorbed and intolerant of others. There was a more considerate way to express her dislike with [columnist] Susan Nienow without crucifying her and several segments of our society. Oh, excuse me. I forgot we live in the age now where everything revolves around "give me," "I want," and "can I have," and most of the time without any thought of appreciation, such as "thank you" or "please." What a sad state of affairs we are in when one can't stop long enough to think of others and their feelings and the repercussions of our words and actions. Ms. Nienow, I apologize to you for this person's rude comments. It's very disgusting to think someone may actually try to gain recognition at your expense. Actually, I don't know why I'm so surprised when this happens. The media makes heroes out of this type of person everyday. My suggestion for this person would be anger management and medication and don't call me in the morning! Tina Rose Midlothian |
