Teenage passenger killed in Cogbill Road crash Kathyrn E. Guye, 18, of the 6100 block of Manuel Court, was ejected from the 2002 Toyota Celica GT she was riding in after the vehicle ran off the road, struck a culvert and then flipped over. The 17-year-old driver of that vehicle sustained serious injuries, and has been charged with failure to maintain control of a vehicle, driving without a license, and failure to wear a seat belt. Police continue to investigate the crash. Voting law dispute Chesterfield County and the state are once again in a dispute over voting laws. The Registrar's Office asserts that it can request Social Security numbers to check the identities of voters. State election officials counter that the county can ask for Social Security numbers, but they cannot deny a citizen's right to vote if they decline to provide it. The state says two forms of identification should be enough to prove a voter's identity without requiring a Social Security number. Suspect arrested for robberies Timothy J. Fagnani, 30, of the 10200 block of Greglynn Road, was arrested on Oct. 21 in connection with one attempted robbery and three commercial robberies that occurred in the north end of the county between Oct. 17 and 19. Police said Fagnani approached cashiers, indicated he had a gun and then demanded money. Businesses that were robbed include Blockbuster at 7805 Midlothian Turnpike; Shoney's at 9963 Hull Street Road; and Dollar General at 7218 Hull Street Road. Fagnani is also accused of attempting to rob the CVS at 8811 Forest Hill Avenue. Fagnani is charged with three counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery and four counts of use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond in the county jail pending an upcoming hearing in General District Court. | |||||
