"Discover Chesterfield" for seniors

The Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Department has organized Discover Chesterfield, a walking club for seniors designed to introduce participants to county parks and greenways and to encourage active lifestyles.

Seniors may meet new walking partners or walk the trails on their own. Parks and recreation staff will lead each walk. The next walk will take place on Dec. 5 at 9 a.m., at Pocahontas State Park, beginning at the main gate entrance off Beach Road.

There is no fee for participating in Discover Chesterfield. For more information, a detailed schedule or to sign up for the club, call Judy Jones at 751-4135.
