Chuck Smith receives a flu shot during a simulated emergency exercise recently conducted by the Chesterfield County Health Department at Cloverleaf Mall. About 1,000 flu shots were given free during the exercise, which helped health department personnel train for a mass vaccination during a pandemic influenza outbreak. Chesterfield County Emergency Management, state agencies and area hospitals also participated in the event.
