CRIME WATCH Chesterfield police arrested a man and woman last week who allegedly robbed the Wachovia Bank branch at 13200 Hull Street Road. Police believe the man is responsible for similar robberies at the same bank branch on Aug.14 and Oct. 12. William M. Waldron, 33, of the 5200 block of Hunt Master Drive, is charged with one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and three counts each of robbery, use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and entering a bank with a weapon. According to police, Waldron allegedly entered the bank on Nov. 13 wearing a wig, approached a teller, displayed a gun, and then demanded money. No one was injured during the robbery. He allegedly fled the bank, and was seen getting into the passenger side of a vehicle. Officers received information about the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Wadsworth Drive off Midlothian Turnpike, east of the Powhite Parkway. Waldron and 24-year-old Deneen L. Daniels, also of the 5200 block of Hunt Master Drive, were arrested without incident. Daniels is charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and entering a bank with a weapon, as an accomplice in last week's robbery. In other police reports: Bailey Bridge Middle School. Plants that were uprooted from the front of the school were found inside a classroom on Nov. 8. Entry was made through an unlocked door. Chinaberry Drive. The victim's locked 1995 Honda was stolen from the 700 block and later found on Cascade Creek Court on Nov. 13. All four wheels and rims were missing along with the stereo. Evelyn Drive. Unknown suspects entered an unlocked Nissan pickup truck sometime between 3-7 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the 13400 block, and damaged the steering column and wires in an attempt to steal it. Hillside Road. Someone disconnected a heat pump from underneath a house under construction in the 11600 block sometime between Nov.10-12 and moved it outside next to the road. Jacob's Bend Trace. Several vehicles were broken into on Nov. 9-10 in the 4400 block, and money and other items were stolen. Mallard Landing Circle. Three Honda owners reported their vehicles in the 4100 block were entered and rummaged through on Nov. 6-7. Money and other items were stolen. All said their Hondas were locked. Oak Lake Court. Items from three Aerations Plus vehicles were stolen from the company's business in the Oak Lake Business Park. West Denny Court. Someone knocked on the victim's door in the 6500 block at 5:20 p.m. on Nov. 13. When she asked who it was, the suspect responded, "The cable guy." She opened the door and found the suspect holding a gun. He demanded her money and then ordered her to lie down on the floor. The suspect then opened her purse, took the money from her wallet and ran out the back door. Willis Road. A 2005 Pontiac GT was stolen from the 2100 block on Nov. 9 and recovered after it was wrecked on North Laburnum Road in Henrico County. The keys were found in the ignition. Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club. The suspect(s) placed a trash can and plastic bench next to a tennis court net at the facility in the 5000 block of Woodlake Village Parkway and then set the paper in the trash can on fire around 9 p.m. on Nov. 10. |
