Donations sought for rescued dogs

Wishbones for Pets is collecting donations of pet items to benefit the Loving Animal Placement Society (LAPS), a local dog rescue group. LAPS' "wish list" includes dry dog food (preferably IAMS), flea and tick preventative, paper towels, carpet cleaner, puppy training pads and dog toys, brushes, collars, leashes, shampoo and cologne.

Items can be dropped off at the following locations through Dec. 10:

+ Petopia, 11057 Hull Street Road (Victorian Square Shopping Center)

+ Posh Pets, 4918 Millridge Parkway (Market Square)

+ Awesome Pets, 11124 Hull Street Road (Genito Crossing Shopping Center)

+ Pet Club, 2009 Huguenot Road (Huguenot Village Shopping Center)
