CRIME WATCH Police are searching for a man who robbed the Bank of Richmond branch at 2730 Buford Road at 10 a.m. on Nov. 20. The suspect entered the bank wearing a black stocking over his head, approached a teller and demanded money. He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery. The suspect is described as a male in his late 20s or early 30s, 140 pounds, and is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He wore a black jacket, blue jeans, and has a mustache. Witnesses believe the suspect has a distinguishable knot or lump just above his left cheekbone. Entry was gained through the rear sliding glass door of a residence in the 10100 block during the afternoon hours of Nov. 13. Cash and checks were taken from a bedroom nightstand, and food was taken from the refrigerator. Brad McNeer Parkway. The victim arrived at Topeka's Steak House in the 4700 block on Nov. 14 to find the office ransacked and the safe missing. It was later found in the kitchen with its back cut in two places and the money missing. The padlock to the exterior door had been cut. Fonda Street. Someone broke into a residence in the 7600 block through a front window, which may have been left unlocked, and stole several firearms. Iron Bridge Road. The suspect broke in through a side door of the Chevron Service Station in the 9400 block on Nov. 16 shortly before 4 a.m. The phone and alarm lines were cut, but nothing was reported stolen. Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim was about to close the Jiffy Lube store in the 12200 block at 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 14 when two masked suspects appeared. The suspects forced the employee to hand over the deposit bag and money from his wallet before forcing him into a bathroom so they could get away. Kim Court. A Papa John's delivery person was delivering two pizzas at 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 16 near an apartment when two suspects grabbed the pizzas and ran off. Meadowdale Boulevard. A front pane in the door was broken out to gain access to the apartment in the 3300 block on Nov. 15-16. Once inside, the suspects slashed sofa pillows and wrote obscenities on the wall. Midlothian Turnpike. Suspect(s) stole a green Kawasaki golf cart and a trailer parked next to a maintenance building on Nov.15 at Windy Hill Sports Complex. Rosegill Road. The suspect(s) broke open the rear door of a residence in the 700 block during the daytime hours on Nov. 16 and stole a number of items including clothing and jewelry. The interior of the residence was also ransacked. Tanners Way. A 1995 black Honda was stolen from the 3100 block on Nov. 15 and later recovered on Marbrett Drive. |
