Baking bread
Third-grade students from Swift Creek Elementary School, including (from left) Matthew McQueeney, Samantha Scifres, Kristina Avgeros and Chris Gordon, use their recent studies in measurement to make zucchini bread. The bread-baking activity has become an annual event at the school and helps students prepare for Standards of Learning mathematics tests.
