Kingsland Acres woman arrested on drug charges

Chesterfield police have arrested a 49- year-old Kingsland Acres homeowner on two felony charges of drug possession for cocaine and a felony charge of violating the Drug Control Act. Cathy M. Trueman of the 8800 block of Firethorne Lane was also charged with a misdemeanor after her residence was deemed a nuisance. The neighborhood is south of the Defense Supply Center Richmond and north of the intersection of Route 288 and Chester Road.

Police spokesperson Ann Reid said other persons were living at the residence, and Trueman's arrest was the result of another investigation.

In other police reports:

Belmont Road. The victim was approached by the two suspects at 2 a.m. on Nov. 28 in a parking lot in the 5500 block. They displayed a handgun, robbed and assaulted the victim and had him get into the trunk of a 1993 Nissan he had been driving, which belonged to a friend. They drove around for awhile before letting him out in Richmond and driving off in the Nissan.

Boulder Springs Drive. The suspects kicked in the front door of the victim's home in the 700 block at 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 26. The victim is bedridden, and when the suspects first entered the residence, they could see her lying in bed. They quickly exited the home, and did not take anything or harm her.

Brightridge Road. At 1 p.m. on Nov. 21, the victim was approached by two women at her residence in the 7800 block and asked why she was leaving her Macaw outside in the cold. She told them her veterinarian had approved it. When the victim asked the suspects if they were from Animal Control, they said they were. She later discovered her bird was missing from its cage.

Commonwealth Parkway. The suspect was in a store in the 4600 block at 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 25 when some of the store patrons noticed him rubbing his crotch area. One witness saw him approach a female victim but he fled when he realized he was being observed.

Handel Court. The victims pulled into a parking space at 2:25 a.m. on Nov. 22 in the 5500 block after being at a night club. The suspects drove up behind them and jumped out of their vehicle, brandishing handguns and demanding money. After taking money and other items, the suspects got back into their vehicle with the third suspect driving and took off.

Hokie Court. A 1999 Pontiac was stolen from in front of the victim's residence in the 6100 block but was later returned by the unknown suspect.

Huguenot Road. The suspect walked up to the 7-11 clerk in the store in the 1900 block and pointed to a handgun in his waistband. The suspect demanded money from the cash register, took it and walked out of the store.

Lingstorm Lane. The victim arrived home at 2 a.m. on Nov. 22 and left his 1997 Honda unlocked in his driveway in the 300 block. It was later stolen.

Matoaca High School. The county's communications center received a bomb threat at 10:21 a.m. on Nov. 21, saying there was a bomb in the school's basement. None was found.

Midlothian Turnpike. At 6:21 p.m. on Nov. 20, the employees of Fast Auto Loan were making their deposit when an armed suspect appeared and demanded their money. One employee threw the bank bag to the suspect, and he ran off.

Mill Race Road. A 1987 unlocked Mercedes was stolen from a driveway in the 3300 block on Nov. 20 and found the next morning on Hopkins Road.

Southshore Pointe Road. The victim left his 2006 Toyota unlocked and running at 5:50 a.m. on Nov. 21 while he ran into a store in the 12000 block. When he returned, the vehicle was gone.

State Avenue. The suspect(s) entered the residence in the 14200 block on Nov. 27 and took a safe that had money and jewelry inside.

Timsberry Trace. Someone entered a vacant apartment in the 15200 block during November and vandalized the interior. No signs of forced entry were found.

Wal-Mart Way. The victim was in the cosmetics department of Wal-Mart at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 when she saw the suspect lift his shirt and expose himself.

Watson Street. The victim returned to his home in the 3400 block after being gone for about 10 days. The front door was wide open, and it appeared that someone had stayed there during his absence. Clothing, jewelry and other items were missing, and the interior of the residence had been ransacked.

West Hundred Road. The suspect, wearing a mask and armed, entered the Raceway service station in the 1900 block shortly after 9 p.m. on Nov. 26 and demanded cash. The clerk was unable to open the cash register, so the suspect fled on foot.
