      Commissioner Dan Gecker will finish out his last year on the Chesterfield County Planning Commission even though he’ll serve under the man he lost to while seeking the Midlothian supervisor seat.

Chesterfield chamber offers Spanish classes
      The Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce will offer a 10-week Beginners’ Conversational Spanish Class for business professionals on Jan. 30-Apr. 3 at Lloyd C. Bird High School, located at 10301 Courthouse Road. The class will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Pace of commerical development quickens
