Chesterfield chamber offers Spanish classes

The Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce will offer a 10-week Beginners’ Conversational Spanish Class for business professionals on Jan. 30-Apr. 3 at Lloyd C. Bird High School, located at 10301 Courthouse Road. The class will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Participants will supply the instructor with the phrases needed in their particular business situation. The objective of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge to converse with their Spanish-speaking customers or employees.

The chamber will also offer a 10-week Advanced Conversational Spanish Class from Jan. 29-Apr. 2. This class will also be held at Lloyd C. Bird and will meet weekly on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The class is ideal for students who have completed the Beginners’ Conversational Spanish Class.

An end-of-course graduation party will be held in April to mark the accomplishments of both classes. The cost of either course is $200 for Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce members and $225 for non-members. Please call 748-6364 to register or for more details.
