Magnolia Green announces Rt. 360 development plans
      Magnolia Green Development LLC (MGD) is rolling out plans for its huge 1,990 acre planned community, located on Route 360 five miles west of Route 288. The centerpiece of the community will be an 18-hole championship golf course winding through the eventual community of 3,550 homes. Build-out will take 15-20 years.

County reviews Green at Midlothian Village site plan
      The Chesterfield County Planning Department is reviewing a 64-acre site plan for the Green at Midlothian Village, located on North Woolridge Road across from the Midlothian YMCA and running almost to Route 60.

Kindergarten registration on Apr. 26
      Kindergarten registration for the 2007-08 school year will be held at all county elementary schools on Thurs., Apr. 26. Parents of rising kindergarteners should register their children between 9 a.m.-7 p.m. To determine what school to go to for registration, parents may call 748-1666 or visit www.chesterfield. k12.va.us (click on "New Residents" and then "Attendance Areas").

Replacement for Cloverleaf Mall could grow larger
Chippenham Place will be home to metro Richmond's largest Kroger store
      Chippenham Place, the mixed-use development that will replace Cloverleaf Mall, may be growing in size. The square footage of the Kroger that will anchor the development has been increased from 80,000 square feet to at least 100,000 square feet. The expanded Kroger will become the chain's largest in metro Richmond.

Supervisors receive update on transportation options
      In a special work session on Monday night, County Administrator Lane Ramsey updated the Board of Supervisors on the options for the county's transportation initiative that will be part of the FY08 budget scheduled to be adopted on Apr. 11. If approved, the proposal will raise $300-$500 million for roads over the next 10 years.

Beach week
      Marguerite Christian Elementary School students including Austin West and Myiah Stith recently celebrated Beach Week. Students were encouraged to bring towels and wear beach attire while visiting the school's library for reading time.
