Hull Street Rd. center to get new traffic light
      <!-- Page Number: 2--> The Virginia Department of Transportation has given the green light for a traffic light to be installed on Hull Street Road between Winterpock Road and Woodlake, allowing easier access in and out of the new Hancock Village shopping center that's currently under construction. It will be installed sometime next year.

Comcast sues county
      <!-- Page Number: 2--> Comcast has filed a lawsuit against Chesterfield County in circuit court, asking for a refund of $1,053,445 in taxes the cable company paid but now alleges wasn't owed. An audit of Comcast's personal property from 2003-06 by the county assessed and taxed electronic equipment including modems, converters and remote controls as personal property.

Car crash kills 12-year-old

Developer sues county to get land back
      <!-- Page Number: 15--> The developer of The Highlands subdivision has filed a lawsuit in Chesterfield Circuit Court to reclaim 54.3 acres from the county government because it has not been used as a school site. A proffer in the 1988 rezoning required the county to designate the school site within 10 years of being conveyed by Nash Road/Woodpecker Road LLC.
