Giving up your car keys and your freedom
      When seniors can't go to the grocery store, meet friends for lunch or attend church, they lose the freedom to manage their lives on their own. They have to rely on friends, neighbors and family for even the basics, so it isn't hard to understand why seniors are more than reluctant to turn over their car keys - even though it may no longer be safe for them to drive.

Groups plan day trip for seniors
      The Senior Center Partnership at Chesterfield and Senior Connections are currently taking reservations for a trip to the Riverside Dinner Theater in Fredericksburg on Wed., Oct. 17, to see the production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." Cost is $65 and covers bus transportation, luncheon and play. The bus will depart at 9:45 a.m.
