Student shortage could impact funding for schools
      The county's school administrators are used to dealing with shortages. After all, there's never enough money to build all of the schools needed to relieve overcrowding, or enough special education teachers to fill job vacancies, or even enough copy paper for teachers to make as many worksheets as they'd like for students.

Parents are asked to share views with school audit team
      Parents of children who attend county schools are invited to participate in an audit by Phi Delta Kappa International. The audit will measure the Chesterfield school system against international standards for curriculum and for areas that support curriculum, such as budget and personnel services.

      In addition to traditional high school programming, Chesterfield County Public Schools offers students the opportunity to participate in specialty center programs that target specific interests. Each comprehensive high school houses at least one specialty center.
