A league of their own
     The Miracle League of Richmond played its first game earlier this month on its new field at the L.C. Bird Athletic Complex. The specially-designed field accommodates wheelchairs and other devices, allowing children with physical disabilities to play baseball. Golf tournaments planned for next month
      Golf tournament fundraisers continue in full swing as the official start of fall approaches. Employment Services Chesterfield Employment Services will host the 2007 CES Open at the Country Club at The Highlands on Oct. 1, starting at 1 p.m. Registration is still open to sponsors and teams who would like to compete in the event.

      Learn how to become a modern-day treasure hunter during a geocaching course hosted by the county's parks and recreation department on Sept. 29, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Rockwood Park Nature Center, 3401 Courthouse Rd. Geocaching is a popular hobby across the globe in which people use Geographic Positioning System (GPS) tools to hide and locate prizes, or "geocaches.
