Gov. Kaine to be guest at Diversity and Aging Forum
      Knowing that every Virginian has the right to age with dignity regardless of ethnicity, gender, economic or disability status, AARP Virginia will hold its first Diversity and Aging Forum on Nov. 19 at the Sheraton Park South Hotel, 9901 Midlothian Tnpk. Gov. Tim Kaine will address the forum in a special afternoon session.

Lucy Corr Village features local artists
      The Arts Committee of Lucy Corr Foundation recently announced the fall schedule of local artists' exhibits displayed in the common areas of the Health Care Center of Lucy Corr Village. The Bon Air Artists Association will display paintings of varied mediums throughout November, and Hopewell Artist Cholly Easterling will display watercolors and acrylics through December.

Holiday basket project for seniors is underway
      With the community's support, Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging has provided holiday gift baskets to needy seniors for the past 17 years. The annual Holiday Gift Basket Project is an important initiative of Senior Connections' efforts to promote healthy aging and help seniors remain independent in their homes and communities.
