Shepherd's Center announces winter session

The Shepherd's Center of Chesterfield will resume its Adventures in Learning program on Jan. 10 at the Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School Street, Chester.

The eight-week winter session includes classes in tai chi, computers, conversational Spanish, bridge, memoir writing, canasta, dominoes and cribbage, brain-aerobics, beginning guitar, senior strength training, puppeteering, Civil War history, politics, quilting, knitting and crocheting, and Folk Music Club.

Classes begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. Shepherd's Center members may take any or all classes for only $15. Non-members pay only $25.

Participants may purchase lunch at the center for $3 or bring their own. The first day of classes is free.
