Miller forecasts challenging year

      Upon being selected as chairman of the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors last week, Dale Supervisor Kelly Miller told his fellow board members there are renewed challenges for the coming year. Matoaca Supervisor who has already announced she will not seek reelection, was elected vice chair.

Sign amendment receives approval

      A more stringent county sign ordinance was approved, if somewhat reluctantly, last week when the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to limit signs on residential and agriculturally-zoned property to no larger than eight square feet and no taller than five feet.
