Course helps parents cope with the turbulence of adolescence

Parenting Your Young Adolescent: The Jekyll and Hyde Years, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Feb. 6 through Mar. 13, Thomas Fulghum Center (Parent Teacher Resource Center), 4003 Cogbill Rd. This 6-week evening course is for parents of adolescents ages 10-15. Development, effective communication, relationship enhancement, conflict reduction and behavior management will be emphasized. Virginia Cooperative Extension has developed the America's Anniversary Garden to help individuals, communities and groups commemorate the first permanent English settlement at Jamestown. Find out how you can grow your own anniversary garden. Refreshments will be served. This program is recommended for adults ages 55 and older.
