Teenage girls arrested for setting fire to truck
Four teenage girls, ages 13 and 14, have been arrested by Chesterfield police for setting fire to a truck on Jan. 20 shortly after 8 p.m. They are charged with burning personal property. The teens allegedly lit some newspapers and threw them in the truck, which completely burned.

The truck was owned by Milestone Management and parked in the 3500 block of Meadowdale Boulevard.

In other police reports:

Amster Drive. Someone broke into a unit at Cloverleaf Apartments through a rear sliding glass door and sprayed graffiti on the walls sometime during the week of Jan. 15.

Castlewood Drive. The victim was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Castlewood Drive and Walmsley Boulevard in his 2002 Nissan SUV at 8:45 p.m. on Jan. 18 when the suspect approached, asking for change. When the victim began looking for change, the suspect opened the car door and pulled the victim out of the vehicle onto the ground. The suspect then got in the vehicle, possibly accompanied by a second suspect, and drove off.

Lakeview Drive. Someone broke into a residence in the 100 block and stole a handgun between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Jan. 19.

Old Carrollton Road. The victim and his girlfriend were walking in the 100 block at 2 p.m. on Jan. 12 when the two suspects approached. One hit the victim in the mouth and stole his iPod. The suspects then ran away.

Squire Hill Court. A 1995 Honda was stolen from the 4500 block on Jan. 19 and later recovered in Charlotte, N.C.

Tanners Way. The victim exited his vehicle at 11:10 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 3100 block and was confronted by two armed suspects, who demanded his money. After taking his wallet, they ran behind a dumpster, got into their vehicle and drove off.

Waterford Place. Thinking his store manager was knocking on the rear door at 9:15 p.m. on Jan 18, the employee opened it to find the suspects armed with a rifle. They ordered him to open the safe and then the cash register. After they had the monies, they had the employee hand over his personal property. He was made to lie down on the floor while the suspects made their getaway out the back door.
