CRIME WATCH At 3:15 p.m. on Jan.29, the suspect knocked on the door of a residence in the 8300 block of Chelmford Road to solicit money for the Huguenot High School Band. The victim had him wait at the door while he got his wallet. When he opened his wallet to make a donation, the suspect grabbed the wallet and pushed the victim down. The suspect pulled out a black handgun and told the victim to stay down so he could make his getaway on foot. In other police reports: Ayshire Court. The victim discovered the car keys to her 1993 Honda were missing from a pegboard inside her residence in the 7500 block on Jan. 22. The vehicle was later recovered with the suspects inside in Schuylkill, Penn. Becar Road. On Jan. 30, the suspect(s) entered a residence in the 9300 block through an unlocked rear window in the kitchen. A television and DVD player were unplugged and moved but not taken. Drawers in the bedrooms were open and rifled through. Chattanooga Shopping Center. At 8 p.m. on Jan. 29, a masked suspect pulled out a black handgun and ordered the clerks at Payless ShoeSource to lie on the floor. One of the clerks was ordered to give him the money from the register, and the suspect left on foot. Cypressleaf Drive. Unknown suspect(s) burned a bush in the victim's front yard on either Jan. 26 or 27 in the 5500 block. Genito Road. The two suspects entered the Pizza Hut in the 13900 block at 9 p.m. on Jan. 24. One went to the office door while the other placed a knife in the side of the clerk at the cash register. After the register was opened, the suspects took the money and left. Hull Street Road. Someone broke into three classroom trailers at Grange Hall Elementary School on Jan. 24 and stole office equipment and electronic items from one of the classrooms. Litchfield Drive. The victim arrived home around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 28 to find her estranged husband in her residence in the 4200 block. The victim had a court order that prohibited her husband from being there. |
