Elswick's priorities are in the right place

Steve Elswick has done the right thing in placing his father and his family's interest above any self interest he may have had or that of the party "leaders" who have anointed him as their favored candidate in the Matoaca District for the last six to eight months or more.

He is to be commended for this decision [reported in the Jan. 24 issue]. He and his family deserve the thoughts and prayers of everyone in the community, regardless of party affiliation, as well as the time and space to deal with these matters privately.
