Robber holds up Quiznos
A masked man, armed with a black, semiautomatic handgun, entered the Quiznos store in the 9100 block of Midlothian Turnpike at 8:40 p.m. on Feb 3. He barked demands to the two employees and cursed at them, trying to get them to hurry up.

After he received the cash from the register, he ordered the employees to lie down on the floor as he made his getaway on foot.

In other police reports:

Birnam Woods Place. The victim discovered her purse missing after she left it in her vehicle parked in her driveway in the 2200 block on Feb. 3. There were no signs of forced entry so the vehicle may have been left unlocked.

Courthouse Road. From Jan. 21-24, the suspect entered an unlocked rear storage room at the Playroom and took money three different times from the deposit bag. Since there was no sign of forced entry, police believe the suspect may have a key to the building.

Jefferson Davis Highway. Chesterfield police arrived at an accident involving a 2004 International Harvester with a semi-trailer in the 6200 block shortly after 10 p.m. on Feb. 1. The driver, 22-year old Matthew French of the 2500 block of Alfalfa Lane, was charged with failure to obey a stop/yield sign, grand larceny and driving without a license. Police say the vehicle had just been stolen from BMI Distributing.

Nevis Drive. The victim observed the suspect standing on her back porch in the 11700 block at 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 4. He was exposing himself, and when the suspect saw her, he ran away.

Rivertrace Road. The suspect(s) broke a window of a residence in the 20800 block during the early morning hours of Jan. 31 to gain entrance to the home. They stole a plasma television.

Watchrun Drive. The victim cranked a rented Chevrolet at 4:53 a.m. on Feb. 3 and let it run to warm up in the 4400 block. When he returned, the vehicle was missing. It was later recovered in Richmond.

Whispering Oaks Trace. Chesterfield police observed a juvenile as he was entering vehicles in the 2600 block after midnight on Feb. 2 and issued a curfew summons. The juvenile admitted to entering two vehicles and trying to enter others. Additional charges are pending.
