Man asks police to arrest him
A 28-year-old Montana man used a shopping cart to break the front glass window of the K-Mart in the 12800 block of Hull Street on Feb. 8. Once Jonathan R. Wright was inside, he called police, saying he wanted to be arrested.

Chesterfield police accommodated him, charging him with breaking and entering.

In other police reports:

Briarmont Road. Sometime in the past 30 days someone stole a handgun from the bedroom of an apartment in the 11300 block. The victim admitted that he often leaves his apartment unlocked.

Brampton Way. Someone kicked in the rear door of a vacant residence in the 2800 block, and police speculate that the trespasser stayed overnight on Feb. 5 because of the cold. Trash and minor damage was found inside the residence.

Castlewood Road. The victim arrived home in the 2200 block at 11:20 p.m. on Feb. 5, and was still in her vehicle, when the suspect approached. He put a knife to her side and demanded her money. He fled when she screamed.

Fox Hollow Drive. The victim returned from work on Feb. 8 to find her kitchen lights on and a radio playing. Someone had smashed the rear glass sliding door to gain entry before taking money and jewelry from the residence in the 5700 block.

Jefferson Davis Highway. Ronald L. Mayberry Jr., 23, of the 10000 block of Beaumont Avenue, was arrested for indecent exposure. Police allege that he was masturbating with no pants on inside his vehicle in the 12800 block at 1:20 p.m. on Feb. 5. Someone saw him, went to one of the nearby stores and called police.

Midlothian Turnpike. Charges are pending against a Chesterfield man accused of masturbating in his vehicle around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 13200 block. A witness called police.

+ The suspect entered Vogue Flowers in the 10000 block at 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 9. After asking about flowers, he pulled out a handgun and ordered one of the clerks to lie on the floor. He instructed the other clerk to quickly take the money out of the cash register. She was then ordered to lie on the floor with the other clerk as the suspect made his getaway.

Polo Place. The victim and a friend were seated outside a business in the 11300 block at 9:10 p.m. on Feb.12 when the suspect sat down at an adjacent table. He unzipped his pants and began to masturbate. The victim yelled at him and called the police on her cell phone. He apologized to them and left on foot.
