Couple gets caught "parking"

Chesterfield police have arrested Orlando A. Jones, 45, of the 3800 block of Micheline Court and Deborah S. Davis, 27, of the 5900 block of East Third Street for indecent exposure. The arrest occurred in a park in the 6600 block of Whitepine Road at 9:24 p.m. on Feb. 19. Police say the two were "engaged in sexual activity."

In other police reports: Ayton Court. The victim called police to say he had been carjacked by armed suspects at 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the 4600 block. The suspects took the victim's girlfriend's 2005 Jeep SUV. Belasco Drive. The victim pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex in the 7700 block and waited for his date to come outside to go to dinner. Three suspects approached him, and the armed suspect opened the car door and ordered the victim to lie down in the parking lot. They took his keys, cell phone and wallet before ordering him back into the car as they fled on foot. Commonwealth Centre Parkway. Someone stole the victim's 2002 Volkswagen while he was watching a movie at Commonwealth 20 Theatres on Feb. 17. The victim may have left his keys inside the vehicle. Jefferson Davis Highway. Unknown suspect(s) broke into Franco Auto Sales in the 11600 block overnight and stole a 1994 Honda, which was later found abandoned on Jefferson Davis Highway.

+ On the afternoon of Feb. 12 witnesses saw several suspects flee the 13400 block just before they discovered a fire set to an area of brush, an abandoned vehicle and two campers. Koyota Court. An employee of Interceptor Security Service advised police that his company car, a 2001 Ford, had been stolen from his residence during the early morning hours of Feb. 15. The vehicle was recovered in Richmond. Midlothian Turnpike. Shortly before 9 p.m. on Feb. 18, the suspect went inside the East Coast service station in the 10200 block and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the cashier opened the register, the suspect pulled out a long kitchen knife and demanded money from the register. He took the money, the clerk's cell phone and the store's cordless phone and walked out of the store. Robious Road. The victim returned to her residence in the 10800 block at 10 p.m. on Feb. 15 to find her dog, which had been in the house, in her backyard. Money was missing from her home.

+ John Ferrell Ashley Jr., 28, of the 11600 block of Gordon School Road was arrested on Feb. 16 after he allegedly robbed the Bank of Virginia at 10014 Robious Road. Ashley is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, and entering a bank with a weapon with the intent to commit larceny. Robious Elementary School. The suspect(s) entered the school sometime between Feb. 17-19 through a locked door that was not latched. Once inside, the suspects vandalized the interior of three unlocked classrooms. Surry Road. Someone set a fire in the backyard of a residence in the 10700 block in early February. The couple who lived there had previously caught a suspect setting fire to a bush days earlier. Warson Court. The suspect(s) ransacked a residence in the 9900 block during the day on Feb. 15, and stole a gun, jewelry, money and consumable goods.
