CRIME WATCH Chesterfield police are seeking two suspects who robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the 2300 block of Willis Road shortly after midnight on Mar. 9. After entering the restaurant through a rear door, the armed suspects forced two employees into a freezer and made a third employee open the safe before also putting that employee into the freezer. Two masked suspects approached the victims after they had gotten out of their vehicle in the 5700 block at 9:04 p.m. on Mar. 9. One of the suspects was armed with a silver revolver and threatened to shoot the victims. The suspects fled with money, jewelry and other items. Chippenham Parkway. The victim's disabled green 1998 Plymouth Fury was stolen on Mar. 8. The victim said she has all her keys, and the vehicle would not start. Court Yard Road. Shortly after 10 p. m. on Mar. 11 a fire was detected inside a building in the 6700 block belonging to the Virginia Department of Corrections. Gasoline could be detected, indicating that the fire might have been set. The sprinkler system contained the fire. Meadowdale Boulevard. The suspects approached the victims who were walking in an apartment complex in the 3500 block at 8 p.m. on Mar. 9. One suspect appeared to have a weapon under his shirt. When the suspects demanded money, the victims fled on foot. Midlothian Turnpike. Someone stole lingerie from Victoria's Secret in Chesterfield Towne Center around 5 p.m. on Mar. 11. + The female suspect approached the victim after she used an ATM in the 7200 block at 4:25 p.m. on Mar. 11. The suspect asked to use the victim's cell phone but was refused. The suspect then opened the victim's unlocked passenger door and took electronic gear from the front seat before running across the parking lot and getting into a vehicle driven by a male suspect. Providence Road. The victim's handgun was stolen from his brother's girlfriend's vehicle which is seldom locked. Robious Road. Brush was found burning in the 10100 block at 6:38 p.m. on Mar. 11 but was quickly extinguished. Walthall Center Road. Catalytic converters were stolen off three 2007 Toyota Highlanders at Priority Toyota on Mar. 9. West Hundred Road. Someone broke into Curtis Elementary School in the 3600 block through a window on Mar. 11 and stole several items including consumable goods. |
