Extension service offers free classes

The Chesterfield County Cooperative Extension Office has scheduled two free educational classes.

Nutrition, Food Safety and Storage and Stretching Your Food Dollars will be held Wed., Apr. 4, 10 a.m.-noon, at the Cooperative Extension Office, 6807 Mimms Loop, in the Chesterfield County Government Complex. Learn about the new food guide pyramid, food safety skills and how to use money-saving strategies to stretch your food dollars.

The Home Management-Housekeeping class is a two-part course and will be held Tues., Apr. 17, and Tues., May 1 from 9 a.m.-noon, at the extension office. Learn and improve the basic skills of maintaining a home. Upon completion of both classes, participants will receive a home-management certificate.
