Lifelong Learning Institute opens to all friends on Mar. 29

All adults ages 50 or older are invited to the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), located at 13801 Westfield Rd., on Mar. 29 for Bring a Friend to Class Day. If you don't have a friend who participates with the LLI, then you are invited to bring yourself to see the educational, fitness and social opportunities that the organization offers for older adults.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a social hour and refreshments. Bill Obrochta, director of education for the Virginia Historical Society, will present a program at 11 a.m. about the 175-year-old organization and its evolution from gentlemen's club to one of the best historical institutions in the country in the eyes of historian David McCullough.
