Community forum for Midlothian District Apr. 2

Residents of the Midlothian District are invited to a community forum on Apr. 2 to meet Superintendent Marcus J. Newsome, greet School Board member James R. Schroeder, and hear about the six-year strategic plan detailing how Chesterfield County Public Schools will achieve excellence. The community forum will begin at 7 p.m. at Robious Middle School, 2701 Robious Crossing Dr. Registration is not required - all are welcome.

This is the last of a series of five community forums - one in each magisterial district. During the meetings, Dr. Newsome gives details about the school system's strategic plan called "Design for Excellence," which addresses closing student achievement gaps, expecting more rigorous coursework including Algebra I for all eighth-grade students, continuing school safety efforts, supporting professional growth for all employees, and keeping the community involved with Chesterfield schools.

The community forums include time for comments and questions from attendees.
