Free cancer screenings offered

The Chesterfield County Health Department is offering free cancer screenings on Sat., May 5, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Smith-Wagner Building, 9501 Lucy Corr Cir.

The screenings are available to residents of the Chesterfield Health District, which includes Chesterfield and Powhatan counties and the city of Colonial Heights.

Prostate exams, prostate specific antigen (PSA) tests, breast exams and pap screens will be available along with screenings for colorectal, oral and skin cancer.

Information about cancer risk reduction also will be available as well as instruction about self breast exams.
