County plans environmental fair Chesterfield County will hold its Second Annual Environmental Fair on Sat., Apr. 21, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Chesterfield Towne Center. Also on Apr. 21 in the parking lot of Sears Tire America at Chesterfield Towne Center, an "eCycling" event will be held to recycle outdated electronics. Most electronic items will be accepted at no charge, but there will be a $5 fee for plastic-encased televisions and computer monitors, and a $10 fee for woodencased televisions. Event participants will include the Virginia Department of Transportation, Environmental Solutions, James River Advisory Council, the Department of Environmental Quality, Central Virginia Waste Management Authority and Tidewater Fibre Corp. Chesterfield County's Environmental Management System and the Chesterfield County Anti-Litter Program are sponsoring the fair.
