Wallace
A Chesterfield man is being held without bond in the Chesterfield County Jail pending a hearing for four cold case homicides in Chesterfield County Circuit Court.

Chesterfield police arrested William T. Wallace Jr., 41, of the 6400 block of Fairpines Road, on May 14 without incident and charged him with the 1990 robbery and murders of two Food Lion employees in Chesterfield County, and two 1991 homicides in Richmond.

The indictments were issued by the Richmond Multi- Jurisdictional Grand Jury and include capital murder, robbery, abduction, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit robbery. The bodies of Tony Robertson, 31, and Pauline Story, 45, were discovered by fellow employees on the morning of Oct. 12, 1990 at the Food Lion, located at 6425 Ironbridge Road. Both victims were found in a storage area and had been shot to death.

Police said Wallace and Matthew Boykins committed the Food Lion homicides. Boykins was subsequently murdered in the San Souci apartments in south Richmond on June 13, 1991. Rodney M. Powell, 34, was arrested in connection with Boykins' death on May 7 in Richmond. Wallace is also charged in connection with Boykins' death, as well as the Feb. 4, 1991 murder of Andrew L. Allen in Richmond.

The Richmond Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury of the Chesterfield County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Rich- mond Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, and Richmond Police Department cooperated to investigate these cases.

Pedestrian killed on Chippenham

A Richmond man was killed on May 11 while trying to run across Chippenham Parkway following an automobile accident. According to reports, Lusvin Orlando-Medrano Luna, 23, was crossing the road just south of Jefferson Davis Highway around 6:30 a.m. after his car collided with another vehicle.

Police say Luna was traveling southbound on Chippenham in a 1998 Crown Victoria when he hit a pickup truck in the rear while changing lanes. After the crash, Luna left his vehicle and was struck by a 2006 Ford Expedition when he attempted to cross several lanes of traffic.

Police believe Luna may have been dazed after his airbag deployed.

The driver of the Expedition was taken to CJW Medical Center's Chippenham campus to be treated for anxiety. The driver of the pickup Luna hit was not injured.

No charges are expected.
