"The Big Cook" Tailgate Chili Cook-Off, noon-2 p.m., Clover Hill High School parking lot, 13900 Hull Street Rd. Walk around the tailgates, sample the various chili recipes, and vote on your favorite by secret ballot. The top prize winners will receive gift certificates. Benefits the Virginia Victory Olympic Games (formerly the Rainbow Olympic Games). Family fun includes a special appearance and short concert by Nashville recording artist Kimberly Quinn, face-painting and fancy cars. Benefit concert, 6-10 p.m., Mulligan's Sports Grille, 11146 Hull Street Rd. Singersongwriter Susan Greenbaum will perform a benefit concert for Chesterfield Employment Services (CES). The agency provides job placements and transportation to work for about 170 people with mental disabilities. Tickets are $15. Proceeds from the concert will benefit CES's job placement programs. Cancer workshop, 6:30-8:30 p.m., CJW Medical Center, Johnston Willis campus, 1401 Johnston Willis Dr. This workshop is designed to help women cope with the appearance related side effects of cancer treatment. Volunteer cosmetologists will conduct a program on skincare and makeup as well as how to use wigs, turbans and scarves.
