Lucy Corr Foundation plans Sixth Annual 5K Run for the Future

The Lucy Corr Foundation will host the Sixth Annual 5K Run for the Future on Sat., July 21 at 8 a.m. The event will begin at the entrance of Lucy Corr Village and is a flat course looping through the county. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and runners will start at 8 a.m. Walkers will begin at 8:15 a.m. and enjoy a 2.5K walk through a scenic nature trail. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 250 runners/walkers, and door prizes will be randomly selected from participants.

Top male and female runners will receive a $100 prize, and winners in each category will receive medals. All proceeds go to benefit Lucy Corr Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit foundation.

Pre-registration is $15 until July 17 and $20 afterwards. Students 16 and younger pay $12. Runners and walkers can pre-register via e-mail at lucycorrvillage@comcast.net or via fax at 796-6285. Call Bonnie Meyers at 706- 5712 for more information.
