LLI hosts Open House on June 18

The Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) will hold an Open House on Mon., June 18 to introduce seniors ages 50 and older to the many educational, fitness and social opportunities offered by the organization.

At 12:15 p.m., Jim Wooten, executive director of the Capitol Square Preservation Council, will talk about the two-year restoration and expansion of Virginia's Capitol, a working seat of government and a major tourist destination. At 1:30 p.m., visitors can enjoy an ice cream social, learn more about the organization and tour the institute. Ice cream will be furnished by Rita's in Midlothian.
