Richmond man arrested for county bomb threats
A Richmond man has been arrestedfor making bomb threats to the Chesterfield County, Henrico County and Richmond jails and the Chesterfield County courts within the last two months. Vaughan E. Breedlove Jr., 38, of the 600 block of Tilton Court in Richmond, was arrested after an Aug. 17 bomb threat was phoned in to the Chesterfield County Emergency Communications Center.

He is also accused in the June 20 incident in which the Chesterfield County courts were evacuated and dockets were canceled. Breedlove was arrested through a joint investigation with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with two counts of threatening to bomb.

In other police reports:

Amster Road. Two victims were separately assaulted by the suspects in the 6800 block around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 20. Armed with handguns, the first victim was kicked and hit with the weapons before giving the suspects his money in the Cloverleaf Apartment complex. Shortly afterward, the suspects happened upon a second victim who had no money. He was struck in the head with pistols before the suspects ran off.

Exwick Road. A 2004 Ford minivan was stolen on Aug. 18 from the 4400 block when the keys were left inside the unlocked van.

Hicks Road. A 1999 Ford SUV was recovered in Richmond after being stolen from the 2600 block on Aug. 18 when the keys were left inside the unlocked vehicle. The license plates were stolen.
